For the second time in six months, a Fulani herdsman in the Agogo portion of the Afram Plains
has allegedly been beheaded.
The deceased, identified as Mohammed Bello, 24, is believed to have been decapitated while
grazing his cattle at Kowiriso.
The Agogo District Police Commander, DSP Nana Yawson, told the Daily Graphic yesterday

A very good source reaching us indicates that, tension is gradually mounting up in the Agogo, Brahabebome area where most of the Fulani herdsmen occupy. Only last week, I learnt that the herdsmen destroyed some farms within the Brahabebome area. The following day after the destructions occurred, a Fulani herdsman was shot dead and some of the residents in that area were arrested. On Monday 13th of September 2010, a man named Issaka Abudu (a.k.a Hayaa) was shot dead around 2am at Bebusu a suburb of Agogo Asante Akyem North. Issaka in his early fifty’s, a farmer living with his wife Zinabu Ali and four children at Bebusu village.

Police at Agogo in the Asante-Akim North are holding a staff of the local Presby Hospital and an accomplice for alleged fraud.
