 Some highlights of the Association.

Agogo Citizens Association is considered one of the most successful and dynamic Ghanaian community associations in the larger Washington DC metropolitan area. Since its establishment in 1993, the association has grown in strength and size. In fulfillment of one of its aims of assisting in the development of Agogo and the well being of her people, the Association has provided a number assistance to the town and the people. Notable among them were, provision of public lavatory, donation of school materials to various schools in the town, and contribution of trophies for academic and sports promotion amongst the various schools. A business center was established at Agogo by the Association in the 90's that helped to address telecommunication problems at the time and introduced computer training education for the citizens. Through the efforts of the Association, Calvary Presbyterian Church of Alexandria adopted the Agogo Hospital. Assistance provided to the hospital by the Calvary Church included equipment for the labor ward, incinerator and various cash contributions.

The climax of the Association was in September 2003 when it held its 10th anniversary celebration in Washington, DC. At the function were the Omanhene of Agogo Traditional Area, Nana Akuoko Sarpong. Honorable Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu of his blessed memory, then Minister of Education, Youth and Sports for Ghana, the famous musicians from Agogo, Abrantee Amakye Dede and Ofori Amponsah. The occasion also saw the launching of the Agogo Worldwide Association that brought all Agogo citizens in the Diaspora together.

As a member of the Agogo Worldwide Association, it played a significant role in mobilizing funds in the amount of $5,000 (USD) that was donated towards the establishment of the Agogo Presbyterian University. Again, in 2008 the Association in collaboration with the Agogo Worldwide members made a cash donation of $6,000 (USD) in support of the infrastructure development of Agogo that was being undertaken by Honorable Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu, the then Member of Parliament for the area.

In July 2009, various medical equipment valued $30,000 (USD) was presented to the Agogo Hospital to assist in the healthcare delivery being provided by the hospital.
